About Me

I am a professional communicator, with a passion for effective internal communication. I thoroughly enjoy learning what’s going on inside an organization and then creating different ways to broadcast the news to its audience.

I graduated with my Master of Arts in Professional Writing from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in 2015. I focused my studies on technical communication, particularly how readers can use documents as tools to help them solve problems.
I used my problem-solving skills to write repair guides for the website iFixit and taught technical communication to undergraduate students at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in the 2014-2015 academic year. I also earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Central Connecticut State University in 2012. I am a motivated professional who can work individually, or on a team, and use my to help users solve problems through an attention to detail and an analysis of a situation.

I previously worked at Workhuman in Framingham, Massachusetts as a senior communications specialist. I have also worked at PTC in Boston, Massachusetts as an associate sales proposal writer, employee communications and engagement specialist, and senior communications specialist.

I was active Toastmasters International for 8 years. As a member of Norwood Toastmasters in Norwood, Massachusetts, I earned my Competent Communicator award in October 2018, my Competent Leader award in February 2020, and completed my Team Collaboration path in September 2024. Also, for two years, from 2021 to 2023, I served in Toastmasters International’s District 31, serving eastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island, as an Area Director. I’ve also chaired and served as chief judge for many contests at the club, area, and district levels from 2019 to 2022.

In addition, I am a former member Society for Technical Communication, in the New England Chapter. I have presented how the next generation of technical communicators is being bred through iFixit at the 2015 chapter event “The Coolest Thing I Do: Sharing Tools and Processes”, and at a 2017 chapter event called “How Augmented Reality Is Transforming The Ways Companies Create, Sell, Operate, and Service Products” with PTC’s Victor Gerdes. I also presented at the Society for Technical Communication’s 2014 Summit in Phoenix, Arizona with a progression on the paper I wrote, “Articulating Technical Communicators’ Value to Employers”. Additionally, I wrote an article called Millennials’ Outlook on Technical Communication” for the magazine Intercom in October 2016. I also served as the New England Chapter’s Vice President, President, and Immediate Past President from 2016 to 2019. Finally, I helped organize the New England Chapter’s 2018 InterChange conference.

I have also volunteered at the Museum of Science, Boston since December 2023. In my first time volunteering, I was an audience for interns to practice their guided tours on. Later, for weekend celebrations of Women’s History Month in March 2024 and Pride Month in June 2024, I staffed a table in the museum’s entrance, where I gave out lists of themed activities for a celebration and guided visitors to noted exhibits, corporate sponsors, and guest speakers, where they could receive stamps to redeem for small prizes. Additionally, I volunteered for The Skating Club of Boston Skating Academy’s Adaptive Skating Program in Norwood, Massachusetts from September 2025 to April 2026. I worked with disabled children to help them develop their ice skating skills and their self-respect along with a love of the sport.

Currently, I volunteer at The French Library in Boston. I help set up, facilitate, and clear down event spaces while also acting as an ambassador for the library’s mission to promote the French language and culture in the community.
